About Us

TERI1
It was 1989 and my mother had just become a grandmother. She was so excited, delighted and over the moon, I made the offhand comment she should open a store and call it “Grandma’s House,” and fill it with all things “Grandma”. That comment soon grew a life of its own and 24 years later, her first grandson is getting married and her daughter’s business celebrates nearly 20 years in business. We never did open that store, but the idea of celebrating grandparents was the underlying idea. We tried different types of gift businesses, but it wasn’t until the mid 1990s, when I wrote my first poem, “Grandma’s Heart” that our business found its purpose. When grandmothers and mothers started brushing away tears, I knew my words had touched their hearts. From there I never looked back.
Mother’s Heart, Daddy’s Heart and now over 150 beautiful poems, 2 books and numerous articles and short stories in parenting publications have since followed. I was first inspired to write because I felt the market lacked meaningful gifts for grandparents,  but I continue to add new poems to my company’s selection and as well as working on several new projects and licensing opportunities, inspired by my everyday life as a mother.

Over the past nearly 2o years, I have always mothered first. I live and work outside of Atlanta, GA with my family including my husband and business partner and our four children. They are still in the growing years, so each day presents many ideas and inspirations for new product and things to talk about. I hope you will enjoy reading my blog and checking out the new items we come out with every few months.

About Our Gifts

All of the poems and sentiments you find on our products were written by Teri Harrison. They are one-of-a-kind, copyrighted sentiments you will not find anywhere else. Many of our products are made or assembled in the USA, a great deal of the work being done by hardworking moms. We take pride in our products and always strive to find the right words to say something important for you. We always hope the recipient understands the sentiment and loves it enough to share it with others and keeps it somewhere very dear to them.
